LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Each of the seven Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's tennis squads concluded their regular seasons over the weekend as several teams took part in intra-conference play. 

No. 13 Trinity (14-9) picked up, 9-0, wins against Schreiner and Texas Lutheran (4-10) on Saturday. The Tigers were dominant in doubles play, allowing opponents to win no more than three games in all six matches over the weekend. No. 1 singles Wilson Lambeth and No. 2 Cameron Kimbrill won both their matches 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1 while Jace Akagi-Okuma and Tilden Oliver each earned straight-set victories despite shuffling through lines three to five.

In its lone match of the week, No. 30 Southwestern (14-4) defeated Centenary (1-9), 9-0, on Friday. The Pirates dropped just one game all day as each of the singles matches resulted in 6-0, 6-0 victories for Southwestern. Line two and three doubles were won by the Pirates 8-0 while Southwestern’s Hunter Bajoit/Carlos Rodero defeated Centenary’s Kevin Le/Max Wamsley, 8-2, at line one.

On Friday, Schreiner (5-10) earned a 7-2 decision over Texas Lutheran. The Mountaineers held the 2-1 advantage after doubles, picking up wins at lines one and two. No. 2 singles Joshua Newman and No. 4 Andrew Albright managed straight set victories for Schreiner while No. 1 Luis Cabreja, No. 3 Matthew Jimenez and No. 5 Juan Ortiz won in extra frames. For the Bulldogs, No. 3 doubles Nick Roccaforte/Eric Wendt and No. 6 singles Matthew Stephenson earned points in the match. 

Colorado College (5-11) dropped a pair of 8-1 decisions over the weekend to Colorado Mesa and Metro State. Against Colorado Mesa, No. 1 Noah Foreman picked up a straight-set victory over Max Lindqvist 6-2, 6-2 while No. 6 Alex Wimer earned a point against Metro State's Kacey Walisundara 6-3, 6-1. 

Austin College (6-7) fell to Texas-Dallas, 8-1, on Friday, in its only match of the week. No. 1 doubles Kenneth Hardy/Siddharth Kortikere picked up the lone point of the match for the 'Roos, defeating Mario Jelev/Giovanni Zamboni 8-5. 

All seven of the SCAC men's tennis teams are set to compete at the 2019 SCAC Tennis Championships this weekend hosted by Austin College in Sherman, Texas. For more tournament information click here.
