Kalamazoo, Mich. - Trinity senior Wilson Lambeth and junior Jordan Pitts were eliminated from the singles and doubles competition at the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championships on Friday.

Lambeth outfought eighth-seeded Jacob Zalenski 6-4, 1-6, 6-4 of Kenyon (OH) College in the opening round of singles. He then lost 6-2, 6-4 to Leo Vithoontien of Carleton (MN) College in the second round. By virtue of advancing into the round of 16, Lambeth earns All-America recognition.

Pitts lost 6-3, 7-5 to sixth-seeded Boris Sorkin of Tufts (MA) University in the first round of singles.

The singles matches were moved indoors to the West Hills Athletic Club because of inclement weather.

Trinity's fourth-seeded doubles duo returned to the outdoor courts at Kalamazoo (MI) College, where they lost 6-2, 6-4 to Konrad Kozlowski and Bernardo Neves of Washington University in St. Louis (MO).

Last fall, Lambeth and Pitts won the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Southwest Doubles Championship and moved on to the ITA Cup. They posted an 18-4 doubles record during the spring dual-match season.

Lambeth went 15-7 in singles dual matches while Pitts registered a 6-8 record.

Lambeth and Pitts qualified for the NCAA Doubles Tournament for the second year in a row. Last year, the two Tigers lost to the top-seeded team from Middlebury (VT) College in the first round.

It marked the third trip to the NCAAs in doubles for Lambeth. He teamed up with former Tiger player Matt Tyer in 2017, as the duo advanced to the Quarterfinals.
