SCAC Men's Tennis Recap - Week Six

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Five Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's tennis teams competed this weekend, posting a 7-3 record.

Southwestern University led the conference with three wins last week, defeating Concordia (TX) University, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Whittier College. The Pirates moved to 6-1 overall this season, with their only loss coming in the first match of the season against Division II St. Edward's.

Texas Lutheran University grabbed a pair of wins, defeating Howard Payne University, 7-2, and Louisiana College, 9-0.

Schreiner University earned a win over regionally-ranked Chapman before falling short against #10 Case Western Reserve. In the match against CWRU, Schreiner earned a win at No. 4 singles, and took two other singles matches to a tiebreaker.

Trinity collected a win in their only match of the week, defeating #20 Kenyon College for the second time this season, 5-4. The two teams previously met at the ITA Indoor National Championships, where Trinity defeated KC to earn seventh place at the event.
