Trinity Men's Tennis Stands at No. 12 in Latest ITA Rankings

SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Trinity University men dropped one spot in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings this week, falling to No. 12. The Tigers are also ranked third in the west region, behind Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.

Trinity currently holds an 11-6 record in NCAA competition and are 9-4 against Division III competition. The Tigers have won their last two matches, defeating regionally-ranked Whittier College and No. 19 Gustavus Adolphus. They have also earned a 4-4 record against nationally ranked Division III competition this season.

Southwestern University and Schreiner University each earned regional rankings as teams, with the Pirates coming in at No. 16 and the Mountaineers rounding out the group at No. 20.

Two Trinity singles players are individually ranked in the West Region, with Adam Krull coming in at No. 3 and Paxton Deuel at No. 5. Those two are joined by Southwestern University's Niko Snovely, who is ranked 13th in the region.

In doubles action, Krull teams up with Matt Tyer to make up the top West Region duo, while Snovely and fellow Pirate Grant Gideon are eighth. Another Trinity pair, Clayton Niess and Deuel are 10th.
