Trinity's Krull Selected to NCAA Men's Tennis Individual Championship Field

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Trinity University’s Adam Krull had a busy Wednesday, being named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and earning a bid to the NCAA Men’s Tennis Singles Championship.

Krull will compete in the 32-draw tournament at Mason, Ohio, from May 21-23. He captured the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regional Singles Championship last fall, and advanced to the USTA/ITA National Small College Championship. Krull is currently ranked No. 2 in the ITA West Region, and has a 13-7 dual-match record at the No. 1 singles position.

The draw for the individual championship will be done by the men’s tennis committee and will be released on the last day of the team championship.

The 2014 singles title went to Joey Fritz of Amherst.  Eric Klawitter and Chris Krimbill of Case Western Reserve took the doubles title. Amherst is the defending national champion, having defeated Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 5-3, to claim the team title.
