Trinity's Mayer, Skinner and Krull Earn ITA All-America Honors

SKILLMAN, N.J. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the 2015 All-America Teams for Division III men's tennis Wednesday and three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference students earned the honor.

Seniors Jordan Mayer and Aaron Skinner garnered the accolades in doubles, while junior Adam Krull was honored for his singles' success.

In the fall, Mayer and Skinner captured the ITA National Small College Doubles Championship, along with the Regional crown. Krull won the regional singles title and finished fifth in the National Small College tournament. He was selected to compete at the NCAA Championship in May, seeded sixth among 32 competitors.

Krull played No. 1 singles for the Tigers, amassing a record of 14-7 and a singles ranking of No. 12. He earned SCAC Player and Newcomer of the Year honors in 2015, while also earning a spot on the SCAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

As a pair, Mayer and Skinner finished the season with a record of 9-10. All of the duo's losses came to either non-Division III competition or Division III teams ranked within the top 25.

To earn ITA All-America honors, a player must meet any of the following criteria:

Singles
1.) Top 8 seed in NCAA singles tournament
2.) Win one round at NCAA singles tournament
3.) Finish in the Top 20 in the final Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings
4.) Win USTA/ITA Fall Regional Tournament
5.) Wins first-round match at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships 

(including players who receive at-large invitations to the tournament) 

Doubles
1.) Top 4 seed in NCAA doubles tournament
2.) Win one round at NCAA doubles tournament
3.) Finish in the Top 10 in the final Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings
4.) Win USTA/ITA Fall Regional Tournament
5.) Wins first-round match at the USTA/ITA National Small College Championships 

(including teams who receive at-large invitations to the tournament)
