- In exclusive voting by the head coaches in the league, Adam Krull of Trinity University has been selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Year – the eighth straight year a Trinity player has earned the honor. In that same balloting, Krull was also named SCAC Newcomer-of-the-Year. Complete Release

Southwestern University's Billy Porter was selected as SCAC Men's Coach-of-the-Year.

Krull, a junior from New Braunfels, Texas, won the ITA Southwest Regional in the fall and advanced to the ITA National Small College Championships where he placed fifth. He has played #1 singles all season and is currently ranked second in the West Region with a 13-7 overall mark. He was ranked third nationally entering the spring season. Krull also plays #2 doubles and has posted an 18-3 mark. At the 2015 SCAC Tennis Championship, he earned All-Tournament honors for both his singles and doubles play in leading the seventh-ranked Tigers to their sixth straight and conference-record 20th team title.

In the Player-of-the-Year voting, Krull received six first-place votes while Niko Snovely of Southwestern received the remaining first-place vote. Krull's selection marks the 18th time a Trinity student-athlete has been honored as SCAC Men's Tennis Player-of-the-Year.

In the Newcomer-of-the-Year balloting, Krull was selected as the top choice on four ballots.  Nick Pena of Schreiner University received two votes for Newcomer-of-the-Year while Nick Farmen of Southwestern received the remaining first-place vote.

In his second season at the helm, Porter led Southwestern to the SCAC men's title match for the first time in program history where his squad defeated seventh-seeded Centenary College (5-0) and third-seeded Schreiner (5-2) before falling to Trinity in the title match. The Pirates finished the historic 2014-15 campaign with an overall mark of 17-2 – the highest win total in school history – and ranked 15th in the West Region. Porter has posted a 25-10 mark in his two years leading the men's program at Southwestern. The Coach-of-the-Year honor is his first and the first for Southwestern tennis since the institution joined the conference prior to the 1994-95 academic year.

Porter received four first-place votes in the Coach-of-the-Year balloting. Ryan Dodd of Austin College, Michael Hunt of Texas Lutheran University and Russell McMindes of Trinity received one vote each from their peers.
