Colorado College's Dallesasse, Southwestern's Dimanche Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Recognition

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Colorado College senior men’s swimmer Eric Dallesasse and Southwestern University senior men’s tennis player Alexis Dimanche were named to the 2019-20 CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Team it was announced on Thursday.

Selected by members of College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and the classroom. Dallesasse and Dimanche are now eligible for election to the CoSIDA Academic All-America At-Large Team, to be announced between June 16-19.

Dallesasse, who will earn his bachelor's degree in history with a 3.70 grade-point average, was a six-time Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference champion, including the three-time defending champion in the 100-yard butterfly. In addition, he captured the 200 individual medley title three times in his four years at the SCAC Championships.

The only four-time MVP in the history of the CC men's swimming program, Dallesasse holds the SCAC record in the 200 IM with a time of 1:51.97 and earned 21 all-SCAC honors in his storied career.

Out of the pool, the Geneva, Ill., product is a four-time member of the SCAC honor roll and a recipient of the Crown-Goodman Presidential Scholarship at the school.

Dimanche, a Physics major with a 3.93 GPA, finished the season with a 5-1 singles record playing exclusively from the No. 1 position, including a victory over Redlands' Andrew Leahy to clinch the Pirates' 5-4 victory over the No. 18-ranked team at the time. Earlier this week, Dimanche was the recipient of the SCAC Men's Tennis Elite 19 award for the second consecutive year and also earned the ITA West Region Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award.

The No. 7 ranked player in the West Region when the 2020 season came to a premature end, Dimanche finished his career with 131 combined wins, edging out teammate Dean Dulthummon by two victories for the program's all-time record.
