LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Week three of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's Swimming and Diving season continued with five teams hitting the water over the weekend. 

University of the Ozarks and McMurry both competed at the Hendrix College Relays on Friday where they placed second and third respectively. The Eagles won the 1500 free with a time of 15:30.05 while adding second place finishes in the 800 free (7:39.43), 500 free (5:47.40), and 400 free (3:35.91). The War Hawks posted second place performances in the 1500 free (16:51.53) and 400 IM (4:01.03).

Both programs also competed on Saturday at the Hendrix College Classic where they were joined by conference opponents Austin College and Centenary. The Roos' earned a second-place finish with individual contributions from juniors Colton Baker, who won the 1-meter (157.15) and 3-meter (145.05) diving events.

Centenary also faired well on Saturday, earning fourth place in the meet. Freshman Miguel Vasquez led the Gents after winning the 200 back with a time of 2:00.52 and anchored 400 free relay team which earned a third-place finish (3:17.14).

University of the Ozarks finished fifth at the meet. For the Eagles freshman Joel Coppernoll won the 1000 free in 10:20.56.

McMurry swam into sixth place on Saturday. The War Hawks were paced by senior Jerick Pena who posted two top-five performances in the 200 IM (2:05.64) and 200 back (2:05.05).

Trinity earned a 151-140 victory over UT-Permian Basin in a dual meet on Saturday where five Tigers posted multiple winning performances. Sophomore Anthony Liva scored 339.35 and 261.45 in the 1-meter and 3-meter boards to edge opponents. Junior Jacob Hurrell-Zitelman was the top finisher in the 1650 free (16:28.50) and 400 IM (4:20.03) while sophomore Shamzi Alkaff was a part of the Tigers 400 free relay team victory (3:10.74) in addition to individual victories in the 50 free (21.46) and 100 fly (53.78). Freshman Daniel Sarman won the 100 back (53.65) and 500 free (4:47.72) and sophomore Eamon Morris finished first in the 200 back (1:59.86). Both Sarman and Morris were a part of the winning 400 free relay team effort. 

The men's swimming and diving schedule continues this week highlighted by a pair of conference dual meets on Saturday hosted Austin College and Centenary.
