LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Four of the league's seven men's teams were in the pool this past weekend as teams continue to taper for the conference championship meet.
Sparked by individual victories from freshmen Stefan Bay and Michael Heinonen, the Colorado College men's swimming and diving team finished third at the CC Classic, which wrapped up Sunday at Schlessman Natatorium.
Bay posted his victory in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.2 seconds, while Heinonen captured the 1,650 freestyle race in 17:57.24.
The McMurry men finished fifth at the CC Classic, paced by a fourth-place finish by Jerick Pena in the 100 yard backstroke. The sophomore finished in a time of 55.61.
