UCSC’s Garin; Trinity’s Deleste Earn SCAC Swimmer/Diver-of-the-Week Honors

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -
UC-Santa Cruz freshman Ivan Garin and Trinity (Texas) University junior Galve Deleste have been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Male Swimmer and Diver-of-the-Week, respectively, for Week Two of the 2013-14 Men's Swimmning & Diving season.

 

 

 

 

SCAC MEN'S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Meets through Sunday, October 27

IVAN GARIN OF UC-SANTA CRUZ, a freshman from San Carlos, Calif., has been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets through Sunday, October 27.

Garin led the Slugs on Friday with a 52.06 fly split on the medley relay, 21.86 50 free, 53.84 100 fly, and 21.84 50 free relay split. On Saturday, Garin continued his great performance with 23.47 fly split on 200 medley relay, 53.74 100 fly, and 22.0 50 free split.

Garin won all his individual events against Colorado College, and extended leads on his fly legs in the medley relay. 

SCAC MEN'S DIVER OF THE WEEK
Meets through Sunday, October 27

GALVE DELESTE OF TRINITY UNIVERSITY, a junior from St, Louis, Mo., has been selected the SCAC Men's Diver-of-the-Week for all meets through Sunday, October 27.

Deleste captured both the 1-meter and the 3-meter diving events for the Trinity men in their Saturday win over Southwestern.

Deleste scored 150.35 points on the low board and 151.80 points on the high board, leading the Tigers to 1-2-3 sweeps in both diving events.
