David Ching, Texas Lutheran University, Co-Offensive Player of the Week (Week 6)
DAVID CHING OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a senior midfielder from Keller, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Co-Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches beginning October 2nd. He is joined by Christian Sakshaug of Trinity University in receiving this award.

Ching started in both matches this week, leading the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record for the week.

In TLU's 3-0 win over Centenary College Friday, Ching led the Bulldogs with seven shots (four on goal), while scoring the only goal during the first half of this match, which proved to be the eventual game-winner.

Ching also led in shots in the 3-2 victory over Austin College, recording six, including three on target. Ching secured the win with his unassisted goal in the 71st minute of the game.

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior forward Thomas Quick of Austin College scored both of the team's goals in a 2-0 victory at Southwestern, and adding a goal in a narrow loss at Texas Lutheran. Senior midfielder Joel Frykholm of Colorado College scored his second game-winning goal of the season on Friday night against Schreiner. Sophomore forward Hunter Haugland of the University of Dallas netted a pair of goals and added an assist for 5 points to lift the Crusaders to a 4-1 win over Schreiner University.
