CAMERON TOWNES OF TEXAS LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY, a first-year forward from Cypress, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, October 17th through Sunday, October 23rd.
Townes put in a huge performance on Sunday, scoring 2 goals as the Bulldogs upset No. 1-ranked Trinity 3-2 in Seguin, with his first coming 41 seconds into the match and his second proving the game-winner in the 74th minute.

Townes also had a goal in TLU's 4-0 win Friday against Schreiner.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior midfielder Kellen Reid of Trinity University led #1 ranked Tigers to a 1-1 record on the road last weekend, defeating Southwestern 2-0 on Friday, but falling in a 3-2 game at Texas Lutheran on Sunday. Reid had a goal in each game over the weekend, as well as adding an assist in the loss to Texas Lutheran. Reid's goal against TLU put the Tigers within one at 2-1, then he assisted on the tying goal to make it a 2-2 game at the half.
