LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - 
All nine Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men’s soccer teams kicked off the 2018 season this past weekend, posting an overall record of 8-7-2. 

Johnson & Wales made its NCAA Division III and SCAC debut in impressive fashion last week, posting a record of 2-0 with victories against Lawrence and Marian. Austin College (1-0-1) and No. 17 Trinity (1-0-1) opened up the year undefeated as the Roos earned a victory against Sul Ross St. and the TU Tigers defeated No. 19 Rutgers-Newark in a battle of top-20 programs. 
 
Centenary (1-1), Colorado College (1-1) and Southwestern (1-1) all bounced back from opening season losses to even their records after knocking off Hendrix, Chapman and Rutgers-Newark respectively in non-conference action. Dallas (1-1) opened with a victory with the third-straight season, defeating Sul Ross St., 2-0. 
 
The conference portion of the 2018 men’s soccer season gets underway this weekend with three contests scheduled for both Friday and Sunday. On Friday, Texas Lutheran (0-1) travels to Centenary, Austin College welcomes Colorado College and Dallas hosts Johnson & Wales. JWU then visits Austin College, CC travels to Dallas and Centenary entertains Schreiner (0-2) on Sunday.
