LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - With only two weekends remaining in the regular season, four teams have punched their tickets to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer tournament.
After Trinity University and the University of Dallas secured their postseason bids last week, Colorado College and Austin College joined in on the action.
Colorado College (9-3-3, 7-2-2 SCAC) posted a 1-0-1 weekend, defeating Centenary College in overtime and finishing in a 1-1 tie against the 'Roos. This earned the Tigers four points for the weekend, holding onto third place in the league standings. Austin College earned just one point this week, but it was enough to secure their spot in the conference tournament.
Trinity University (14-1, 10-1 SCAC) continued its winning streak, moving it to nine straight games. The Tigers haven't looked back since falling in their only game this season on September 15.
The University of Dallas (9-2-2, 8-1-2 SCAC) swept its opponents this weekend, defeating Austin College and Centenary College on the road.
Bouncing back from a Friday night loss, Texas Lutheran University (5-8-2, 4-6-1 SCAC) earned an overtime win against Schreiner University on Sunday afternoon. The Bulldogs currently sit in fifth place in the league standings with 13 points.
The Mountaineers of Schreiner University (3-10-2, 1-8-2 SCAC) earned their first conference win of the season on Friday night, taking down Southwestern University 3-2.
Heading into the final games of the season, four teams will battle it out for the remaining two spots in the tournament.
