Four Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Four SCAC student-athletes earned CoSida Academic All-District honors for their performance on the pitch and in the classroom.

Three Colorado College student-athletes - Theo Hooker, Keenan Amer, and Cameron Stopforth - are represented on the list, and the trio is joined by Trinity University's Brent Mandelkorn.

Hooker, a senior from Albuquerque, NM, earned multiple SCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors this season. Hooker holds a 3.56 GPA and majors in mathematical economics. He set a career-high 69 saves for the Tigers this season.

Amer, a junior from Santa Fe, NM, has a 3.86 GPA in organismal biology and ecology. He has also started and played in all 20 games for the Tigers and tallied one goal and four assists this season.

Stopforth, a senior from Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., majors in molecular biology and holds a 3.85 GPA. Stopforth added two game-winning goals to his stat sheet this season along with six assists.

Mandelkorn holds a 3.97 GPA in engineering at Trinity. The senior from Frisco, Texas, has earned SCAC Player of the Week honors and led the Tiger defense this season, adding 12 shutouts in the 21 games this season.

The #2 Trinity Tigers earned a bid to the NCAA Playoffs after winning their 20th SCAC Championship. They host the regional and await to play the University of Texas-Tyler on Saturday.
