Trinity's Mandelkorn Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

AUSTIN – Trinity University senior men's soccer player Brent Mandelkorn has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America First Team.

Mandelkorn was earlier selected for the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team, is a three-time member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll, and has spent several semesters on the Trinity Dean's List.

This season, Mandelkorn was a key player for the Tiger men's soccer team, starting 18 times out of 22 games played and collecting two goals and an assist. During his career, Mandelkorn scored 16 goals and recorded 14 assists in 93 games played with Trinity.

Led by 27th-year Head Coach Paul McGinlay, the Tiger men's soccer team finished the season with a 21-2-0 overall record, winning the program's 20th overall SCAC Championship, and advancing to the NCAA Playoffs for the 21st time.
