Trinity Keeps Top Ranking, Colorado College Jumps to No. 19

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- After outscoring opponents 8-0 last week, Trinity University men's soccer remains the nation's top-ranked team, while Colorado College made a jump to No. 19 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) poll.

In the D3soccer.com poll, Trinity is ranked second and receiving four first place votes, while Colorado College moved into the top 25 at No. 23.

Trinity moved to 11-0 on the season after defeating Texas Lutheran University and Southwestern University by identical scores of 4-0. Colorado College is now 8-1-1 after picking up a pair of wins over Centenary College and Austin College.

Trinity is averaging 2.91 goals per game, which ranks 24th in the nation, while Colorado College is putting up 1.70. CC does have a league best 0.38 goals against average, which is sixth in the nation. After a pair of shutout over the weekend, Trinity is now allowing 0.54 goals, which ranks 22nd.

The two teams will face off again this Friday in Colorado Springs. In their first meeting, Trinity earned the 2-1 victory in San Antonio.
