Trinity Men's Soccer Earns Fifth Consecutive SCAC Tournament Title

- The top-seeded Trinity University men's soccer team earned their fifth consecutive Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament title with a 2-1 extra time victory over second-seeded Colorado College. HOW IT HAPPENED

  • The first half remained scoreless as Trinity and Colorado College struggled to create chances, recording only 6 total shots
  • Colorado College took a second half lead in the 62nd minute with a goal from Robert Malone
  • After the goal, Trinity became more composed on the ball, controlling the match from the back with an impressive all-around display from Laurence Wyke
  • Trinity tied the match 1-1 in the 89th minute on a goal from Austin Michaelis, who slotted past an oncoming Theo Hooker on a through ball from Kellen Reid
  • Trinity won the match on a golden goal from Brady Johnston (assisted by Austin Michaelis and Todd Edwards) in the 103rd minute after Johnston buried his opportunity from just inside the 18 yard line
