LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – League play continued as all eight men's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference soccer teams were in action on Friday and Sunday.
The Colorado College men (4-0-1 SCAC; 6-1-2 overall) moved into sole possession of first place in the SCAC with a pair of road victories over the weekend at Southwestern (3-1) and at Texas Lutheran (1-0). Two goals each from Max Grossenbacher and Tim Huettel accounted for all of the Tigers' scoring on the weekend. Grossenbacher had the eventual game-winners in both contests.
The University of Dallas (3-1-1 SCAC; 4-4-1 overall), which had been tied with Colorado College for the league lead entering the weekend, split a pair of matches, falling to Texas Lutheran 1-0 on Friday before rebounding with a 3-0 shutout of Southwestern.
Trinity University (3-2 SCAC; 7-2 overall) picked up a pair of shutout victories to move into a tie for third place in the conference standings with Texas Lutheran (3-2 SCAC; 6-2 overall).
