SUWANEE, Ga. - Centre College's Richard Hinton and Trinity University's Alan Llobet were named to the D3futbol.com National Team of the Week for their performance for games played from September 7 through September 13.
Hinton, a 2008 All-Region and All-SCAC performer is at again in 2009 having played three very solid games in week 2. In the first match against Mount St. Joseph, a 2-0 win for Centre, Richard recorded an assist on the first goal and iced the game scoring the second goal of the match. Hinton continued his scoring ways in a match against Wilmington College, helping to claim the title of the Bob Allen Classic. Hinton also tallied 1 goal and 1 assist in a 5-4 OT win against a very solid NAIA side, Berry College. Hinton has been selected as the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Llobet has been featured as a starter for the Trinity Tigers in 4 of their 5 matches so far this season. In week 3, the Tigers played a solid UT-Dallas Team, recording a 1-0 win. Alan was a key member of the Tigers defense which only allowed UT-Dallas 1 shot on goal, out of 11 total shots. Llobet has also gotten forward to record 1 goal on the seasaon.
