Trinity prepares for NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Committee announced the field of 58 teams for the 2008 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship on Sunday. Trinity University, the automatic qualifier from the SCAC, will be making its seventh straight appearance in the national tournament. Complete 2008 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament Bracket

Top-ranked Trinity (18-0-1), received one of six first-round byes and will host the winner of University of Texas-Tyler (11-3-4) and University of Dallas (16-3-1) on Sunday at 6 p.m. CT.

Trinity defeated Texas-Tyler, 3-1, back on August 30 in a game that was played at Southwestern University.

Last year, Trinity reached the NCAA Men's Soccer Final Four, defeating Messiah 1-0 in the semifinals before losing a heartbreaking decision on penalty kicks to Middlebury in the national championship game.
