
JORDAN COOK OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a first-year midfielder from Bryant, Ark., has been named the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, April 19 through Sunday, April 25.
Cook had a stellar day for the Gents in their dominating 18-8 win at Dallas on Saturday. He scored a season and career-high five goals and added an assist for six total points. He had 18 shots, seven coming on goal, and six ground balls with two caused turnovers. Saturday marked the third time this season that Cook has scored at least two goals in a game. The rookie leads the team with 14 goals this season and has three assists.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior attackman Elliot Nelson of Colorado College led the Tigers with three goals during Sunday's 23-8 setback at No. 5 University of Lynchburg. Nelson scored twice during a four-goal run that tied the score at 6-6 with a little less than 10 minutes remaining in the first half. In this games this season against top-five opponents, Nelson is tied for the team lead with four goals and seven points, and is second with three assists.
