ZACH STEEDMAN
OF COLORADO COLLEGE a first-year goal keeper from
Puyallup, Wash., has been selected the SCAC Men's Lacrosse
Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 14
through Sunday, March 20.
Steedman stopped 21 of 31 shots on goal
during Colorado College’s two victories last week. He steered
aside five of six shots during the 21-1 victory at Centre College
and made a season-high 13 saves on 17 shots in the 10-4 win at The
College of Wooster, the second time this season
Steedman has made double-digit saves in a
game.
By allowing just five goals last week,
Steedman lowered his conference-leading
goals-against average to 6.48 while improving his saves percentage
to .587. He has not allowed more than five goals during the
last three games and has yet to give up more than nine in a single
contest this season.
