SCAC Men's Lacrosse Recap - Week Ten

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's lacrosse schedule was light last week with two games on the docket, highlighted by Southwestern hosting Dallas for an intra-conference matchup over the weekend. 

In its final regular season game, Southwestern (9-6) downed Dallas (0-8), 25-6. The Pirates were a perfect 12-for-12 in clear attempts and held the 38-to-12 edge in ground balls. Senior midfielder Everett Barger led the way with seven points on the day, netting three goals and four assists. Three other Pirates collected hat-tricks including sophomore Benjamin Libby and seniors Kai Knight-Turcan and Jared Welsh while eight others scored in the contest. Sophomore Zane Abbot was a perfect 14-for-14 from the faceoff circle and senior goaltender Kyle Kuberski picked up the win between the posts for the Pirates. 

The Crusaders were paced by freshman attack Austin Gibbons, who posted a hat-trick performance. Dallas also held the advantage in man-up opportunities, converting in 1-of-3 attempts. Sophomore goaltender Hector Pinell-Sanchez made a game-high 13 saves.

Johnson & Wales (1-9) fell to Colorado Mesa on the road on Tuesday. 

The SCAC men's lacrosse season concludes this weekend as Colorado College competes in a pair of contests while Dallas and Johnson & Wales suit up for intra-conference action.
