Colorado College's Paul, Murphy Named SCAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Junior midfielder Taylor Paul and sophomore goalkeeper Chase Murphy of Colorado College have been named SCAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week after their brilliant effort last weekend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

SCAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK
Games of  February 24th – March 2nd

TAYLOR PAUL OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a junior midfielder from Bronxville, N.Y., has been selected the SCAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 24th through Sunday, March 2nd.

Paul struck for four goals to lead Colorado College to a split of its two contests last week at the Patriot Games in Dallas. 

During Friday's 16-4 victory over Southwestern, Paul set a career high with three goals. He added one more tally in Sunday's 11-3 loss to No. 13 Roanoke College to extend his goal-scoring streak to a career-best four games, which also equaled his personal-best points streak. 

Paul leads the Tigers with 10 points, is tied for first with four assists and second with six goals. 

 

 

SCAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER-OF-THE-WEEK
Games of  February 24th – March 2nd

CHASE MURPHY OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a sophomore goaltender from Cohasset, Mass., has been selected the SCAC Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 24th through Sunday, March 2nd.

Murphy posted a 1-1 record during Colorado College's two contests last week at the Patriot Games in Dallas. 

During Friday's 16-4 SCAC victory Southwestern, Murphy stopped the only shot he faced while playing the first 30 minutes. It marked the third time in less than two full seasons he did not allow a goal in a game. 

In Sunday's 11-3 loss to No. 13 Roanoke, he made 15 saves on 26 shots. It marked the eighth time in his career that he has made double-digit saves.
