LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Freshman attackman Jack McCormick and senior defender P.J. Higgins of Colorado College have been named SCAC Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week after their brilliant effort last weekend.

JACK McCORMICK
OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a freshman attackman from
Hudson, Ohio, has been selected the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse
Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March
3rd through Sunday, March 9th.
McCormick struck for a game-high four goals to
lead Colorado College to a 13-7 victory over Wentworth Institute of
Technology on Sunday afternoon at Washburn Field.
With the game tied at 1-1, McCormick notched a
pair of markers in a span of 51 seconds to give the Tigers a 3-1
lead with eight minutes remaining in the first period. His goal
midway through the second period ignited a 4-0 run that gave the
Tigers a 10-2 lead 1:30 into the second half.
McCormick completed the first multiple-goal game
of his career with 8:40 remaining in the game. He now ranks third
on the team with six goals and fifth with seven points.

P.J. HIGGINS
OF COLORADO COLLEGE, a senior defender from Denver,
Colo., has been selected the SCAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive
Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 3rd through
Sunday, March 9th.
Higgins grabbed four ground balls and caused a
pair of turnovers during Colorado College’s 13-7 victory over
Wentworth Institute of Technology on Sunday.
During the three quarters in which he played, the Tigers built a
12-4 lead thanks in part to outstanding defense.
Higgins is third on the team with five caused
turnovers and tied for fourth with nine ground balls.
