ROBBY EVANS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF DALLAS, a freshman from Flower Mound, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competition played through Tuesday, October 17th.
Evans dominated the links on Tuesday, as he shattered two UD men's golf individual tournament records and won the Alamo City Classic.
Evans shot lowest round of the tournament with a 65 and broke the program's mark by four strokes Overall he notched another school record for lowest two rounds with a 140, and earned his first personal individual victory.
Evans was tied for sixth after leading Dallas with a 75 in the first round of 18 holes Monday. He totaled 11 birdies through the tournament, the most of any player competing. He also led in par-4 scoring with a 3.82 average.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Colin Uecker of Texas Lutheran University tied for fourth place in the Alamo City Classic, posting a score of 147 (73-74) over the two-day event. Peyton Bartee of Trinity University finished in a tie for 8th at the Alamo City Classic this week, shooting a two-round total of 151 (76-75) in the Trinity-hosted event. Wyatt Koricanek of Schreiner University shot a 150 at the Alamo City Classic to finish in seventh place.
