JASON LOPEZ OF SCHREINER UNIVERSITY, a junior from New Braunfels, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competition played through Tuesday, September 26.
Lopez completed the 54-hole Al Jones Jr. Memorial Tournament in a tie for seventh place.
During the two-day event, Lopez recorded a 227 (78, 74, 75) to lead the Mountaineers to a third place finish.
This is the first time Lopez has won the SCAC Men's Golfer of the Week award.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Junior Tommy Schuberg of the University of Dallas tied for seventh place at the Al Jones Jr. Memorial Tournament this week, carding a score of 227.
