SUTHERLAND STITH OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competition played through Tuesday, September 19.
Stith was named to the all-tournament team after finishing tied for fourth individually. Stith shot a 74 (+2) on Tuesday for a three round score of 213 (-3). Stith led all scorers in Par 4 scoring at -4 throughout the week.
The Southwestern men's golf team shot a 291 (+3) in the final round for a three round score of 866 (+2) and a third palce finish at the Rhodes College Fall Classic at Tunica National.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Freshman Austin Craig of Centenary College rebounded from an 82 (+10) in shoot a 68 (-4) in round two, the only round under par, at the Louisiana College Fall Invite. Craig improved from 21st after day one to finish fifth in his first collegiate tournament.
