LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Three of the league's seven men's teams were in action this week, with all three competing at the ASC Conference Preview at The Club at Commanche Trace.
Seventh-ranked Southwestern finished second in the 12-team field, shooting a 293 and a 290 in two rounds to finish six shots behind No. 38 Concordia (Texas) - 583 to 577. Cade Osgood paced the Pirates, scoring a 72 in the first round and 70 in the second for a 142 (-2), tying Seger Howell of Concordia for second overall at two below par. Sutherland Stith finished tied for seventh with a score of 146 (+2).
No. 24 Texas Lutheran finished in seventh place, led by a fifth-place individual finish by Colin Uecker. The Bulldogs rebounded from a first round 307 to post a 299 in the second round. Uecker moved from a tie for 18th after round one to a tie for fifth with a two-under 70 in the second round.
Schreiner posted rounds of 304 and 308 to finish in ninth place. Jake Bell fired rounds of 70 and 77 to finish with a 147 (+3) - good enough for a tie for ninth.
All three next compete at the SCAC Championships, which are scheduled from Monday, April 22 through Tuesday, April 23 at the Vaaler Creek Golf Course in Blanco, Texas.
