DENVER, Colo. - Thomas Brennan was hired as the head men's and women's golf coach at Johnson & Wales University in June 2019.

"We're very excited to add Thomas to the JWU Denver family," athletic director Tom Byrnes said. "I can't wait to see how he grows both of our young golf programs. He's a terrific addition to the staff, and we're lucky to have him on board."

Brennan served as the head men's and women's golf coach at Hannibal-LaGrange – an NAIA school in Hannibal, Missouri – since 2014. During his five seasons at the helm, he guided the Trojans to nine tournament victories.

Recruiting was a key piece to Brennan's success at Hannibal-LaGrange, as he doubled the men's roster size and brought in the No. 1-ranked NAIA freshman class in 2017-18, according to GolfStat.

Brennan played four years of collegiate golf, the final two at HLGU where in 2012 he was named the American Midwest Conference Newcomer of the Year. In 2014 Brennan earned his bachelor's degree from HLGU in criminal justice.

"I'm really excited to start with a young program and have the chance to grow it," Brennan said. "I look forward to increasing our level of competition to a national level."
