BLANCO, Texas - In an announcement made Tuesday afternoon at the conference championship, Southwestern University's Devon Horne was named the 2019 SCAC Men's Golf Elite 19 award winner.
Horne, a senior from Albuquerque, N.M., currently holds a 3.687 GPA and earned All-SCAC second team honors at this year’s men’s golf championship.
The SCAC Elite 19 is awarded to the student-athlete who has at least a cumulative 3.25 GPA, at least 60 credit hours and earns All-SCAC honors for that particular season. A student-athlete will be honored annually from each of the league's 19 conference-sponsored sports and will be recognized at the site at that year's conference championship event.
This is the inaugural year of the SCAC Elite 19 award.
