Southwestern Leads After Two Rounds of SCAC Men's Golf Championship

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- After 36 holes of action, two-time defending champion Southwestern University leads a pack of four teams separated by just 11 shots as the first and second rounds were completed Monday at the 2018 SCAC Men's Golf Championship at Panther Trail Course at the Golf Trails of The Woodlands. Official Championship Website | Men's Round 1 Results | Men's Round 2 Results | Photo Gallery

Tomorrow's final 18 holes will begin at 8 a.m. on the par-72, 6,908-yard layout.

With two rounds in the books, Southwestern is sitting at 609 (+33) and is nine shots clear of Trinity University and Texas Lutheran, who both finished with a two-round total of 618 (+42). Schreiner University, who led after the first round, is tied for fourth with the University of Dallas. The two have two-round scores of 620 (+11).

Schreiner's Jason Lopez hold the two-round individual lead after firing rounds of 72 and 78. His 150 (+6) gives him a one shot lead over his teammate Jacob Gentry, Southwestern's Cade Osgood and Trinity's Redmond Lyons.

Centenary College is in sixth place with a two-round total of 661.
