SCAC Men's Golf Spring Recap - Week Three

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Three SCAC men's teams were in action this week - with all three participating in the Schreiner Spring Shootout.

Trinity University posted an incredible 277 (-11) on the second day of the tournament to move up four spots into third place. The Tigers were the top team for the SCAC after 36 holes. Trinity finished 10 shots behind Mary Hardin-Baylor and UT-Tyler, who tied for the team title.

Schreiner University led the SCAC teams through the first round, posting a team score of 306 to end Monday's action in fourth place. Texas Lutheran posted a round of 312 to begin the tournament, while Trinity shot a 314.

Trinity's Redmond Lyons improved 11 shots on Tuesday to post the tournaments' lowest round, 66 (-6), for a fourth place finish.
