IRVING, Texas – Brent Perkins announced his resignation from the University of Dallas golf team to pursue another career endeavor.

Perkins became the eighth head coach in the Crusaders' program in January, 2015. Under his guidance at the helm, freshman Chris Eckes (Fort Smith, Ark.) would shatter a school record, scoring a 69 in an 18-hole round. Eckes would garner All-Conference Honors, and won two individual tournaments in the spring.

Perkins led the Crusaders to a tournament victory against Arlington Baptist College on April 14, 2015.

An immediate search for the vacant position has already begun.
