NORMAN, Okla. -- Southwestern University
is ranked 19th and Schreiner University is 22nd in the final Golf
World/Nike Golf Men's Division III coaches’ poll of the fall
season.
The Texas Lutheran University men also received votes.
While Southwestern has been ranked all fall, the ranking for the
Schreiner men is a first in the program's
history.
Making the most of a two-tournament fall schedule - winning both of its starts - Claremont-Mudd-Scripps claimed the No. 1 ranking all to itself in the final Division III coaches' poll of the fall. The Stags wrestled sole possession of the top spot from Wittenberg by virtue of claiming 10 of the available 16 first-place votes.
