
AARON WYATT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF
DALLAS, a junior forward from Frisco, Texas.,
has been selected the SCAC Men's Basketball Player-of-the-Week for
games played from Monday, December 9th through Sunday, December
15th.
Wyatt led the Crusaders to a 20 point
win on the road over Southwestern Adventist as the University of
Dallas improved to 5-2 on the season.
Wyatt was dominant in the win, scoring
18 points on 6-of-12 shooting and adding 10 rebounds for his second
double-double of the season. He earned a double-double during the
first weekend of 2013-14 where he was also named SCAC Player of the
Week.
Wyatt was also 6-for-7 for the charity
stripe and added three assists, two steals, and a
block.
Wyatt has stepped up in his third year,
averaging 13.7 points per game (11th in the SCAC) on 52.5% shooting
(sixth in the SCAC). He leads the SCAC in rebound at 9.3 boards per
game and is shooting 76% from the free throw line. He is also fifth
in the SCAC in blocks (0.9 per game).
