LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- It was a short week for SCAC Men’s Basketball after the Thanksgiving holiday, with six teams competing in seven total games. 

Johnson & Wales (1-6 Overall) posted the only undefeated mark of the week with a 96-72 victory over Oglala Lakota. Andray Thomas led the Wildcats posting a double-double of 23 points and 11 rebounds, with four other players scoring in double-figures. In the Wildcats’ win, Head Coach Quintin Grogan claimed his 65th career victory becoming the program’s all-time wins leader.  

Southwestern (4-3 Overall) split games over the week with an 88-78 win over Howard Payne on Saturday, which followed an 80-59 loss to McMurry earlier in the week. Brandon Alexander led the Pirates in their victory, recording a double-double of 23 points and ten rebounds. 

Dallas is now 4-2 in non-conference play, falling to Hendrix (77-54) in its only game of the week. The Crusaders were led by Michael Wambsganss with 12 points. 

Texas Lutheran (3-3 Overall) absorbed home loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor (62-57) on Wednesday. Caleb Lister led the Bulldogs with 15 points, with Sebastian Andrade adding 11. 

Centenary (2-3 Overall) also dropped its lone game of the week falling to LeTourneau (99-83) on Tuesday. The Gents were led by Ty Prince, who posted 26 points, with Cedric Harris adding 19. 

In its only game of the week Colorado College (2-4 Overall) fell to Metropolitan State University (79-47) on Tuesday. The Tigers were led by DeAnte Dennis and Scott Cunningham, who both posted 10 points. 

Nine SCAC Men’s Basketball teams are in play this week, highlighted by the first two conference games of the season; Southwestern will travel to Colorado College on Saturday and Johnson & Wales on Sunday.
