LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- The third week of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball action continued this week with nine teams in non-conference play. 

Texas Lutheran (3-2 Overall) went undefeated with victories over McMurry (75-69) and Hardin-Simmons (65-62) on Friday and Saturday. Sebastian Andrade led the Bulldogs in Friday’s win, posting a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds. Jordan Kite’s 19-point, six-assist effort paced TLU on Saturday.  

Dallas is now 3-0 in non-conference play after 89-45 victory over Southwestern Adventist on Tuesday. In the 44-point win, Cameran Hyde led the Crusaders with 12 points and 11 rebounds.  

St. Thomas (2-0 Overall) picked up a victory over Arlington Baptist (99-71) on Tuesday. Kennard Robinson scored 16 points for the Celts, with four other players scoring in double-digits to contribute to the 28-point victory. 

In its only game of the week, Centenary (1-1 Overall) rolled to a 33-point win over Millsaps, 84-51. Cedric Harris led the Gents with 25 points and seven rebounds. 

Colorado College (1-2 Overall) picked up its first victory of the season over Cal Lutheran (77-54) on Saturday. The Tigers were led by CooXooEii Black’s 20 points, with 17 coming in the second half.  

Southwestern (2-2 Overall) split games over the week, including one-point victory over Howard Payne, 79-78. Brandon Alexander led the Pirates with a season-high 26 points. 

Austin College is now 3-1 in non-conference games, dropping its first game of the season to Hendrix, 89-79. Kam Hogan led the ‘Roos with 17 points. 

In its only game of the week, Johnson & Wales (0-4 Overall) fell to Cal Lutheran, 64-46. The Wildcats were led by Charles Young with 20 points and three assists.  

Schreiner (1-4 Overall) dropped a pair of games this week, including a close three-point loss to Hardin-Simmons (71-68) and a 90-80 loss to McMurry. In Saturday’s game against McMurry the Mountaineers were led by Alex Dehoyos with a 38-point performance.

The fourth full week of SCAC Basketball action continues with eight teams competing in 15 non-conference games.
