LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Just under four weeks remain for Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball teams to claim their spot in the conference tournament.  

St. Thomas (12-1; 19-1) extended its six-game winning streak with a pair of wins over Trinity (104-72) and Schreiner (92-82). The Celts set a new single-game SCAC record with 22 3-pointers in Friday win over Trinity. Nathan Thormaehlen scored a game-high 21, on seven 3-pointers, leading four other players in double-figures. In Sunday's win the Celts were led by Kennard Robinson with a double-double of 23 points and 10 rebounds with Thormaehlen also recording 23 points. Dispite the loss, each of Schreiner's five starters scored in double-digits, led by Alex Dehoyos with 23. 

Austin College (8-4; 11-8) continued its winning ways, chalking up consecutive victories number four and five, with wins over Colorado College (79-77) and JWU (91-81). The five-game winning streak is the longest for Austin College since opening the 2015-16 season with 10 straight wins. In Friday's win over Colorado College, Kam Hogan drilled a 40-foot double-clutch desperation shot at the buzzer propelling the 'Roos to victory. Devin Roland led Austin with 18 points with four others scoring in double-figures. Michael Holland and Roman Strickland each scored 18 to pace the 'Roos in Saturday's victory over JWU.  

Centenary (8-5; 11-9) went 2-0 over the weekend with victories over Schreiner (66-63) and Trinity (71-65). In Friday's victory, Cedric Harris led the Gents with a game-high 21 points and added nine rebounds. Seth Thomas chipped in adding 18 points. Three different Centenary players posted double-doubles in Sundays win led by Harris with 14 points and 14 rebounds. 

Dallas (7-5; 11-8) was the fourth SCAC men's basketball team to go 2-0 over the weekend with wins over JWU (78-66) and Colorado College (67-64). Dustin Mathis led the Crusaders with 20 points against JWU, with two other players recording double-digit efforts. Mathis had another 20-point scoring effort in Saturday's victory. Cameran Hyde added 12 points while Jacob Giunta chipped in seven and a personal-best 13 rebounds. CC's CooXooEii Black scored 20 points in the loss and became the seventh member of the Colorado College men's basketball program's 1,500-point club. 

Texas Lutheran (12-7) is now 9-3 in SCAC play with a 78-76 victory over Southwestern on Friday. Sebastian Andrade scored the Bulldog's last six points including, two free throws in the final 23 seconds to secure the victory. Andrade had a game-high 29 points, with Jorden Kite adding 13 and Caleb Lister contributing a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds.

All 10 SCAC men’s basketball teams are in action this week, highlighted by Texas Lutheran hosting St. Thomas on Friday.
