Colorado College's Black Named NABC All-District

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the 2020 NABC Coaches' Division III All-District teams and coaches Tuesday, recognizing the best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes and coaches in the division.

Colorado College's CooXooEii Black earned second-team All-South region honors as the lone athlete to represent the SCAC. Yesterday, Black was honored by D3hoops.com as an All-South Region Second Team member.

Black led the SCAC in scoring, averaging 21.3 points per game during the regular season. The senior forward also was second with a .543 field-goal percentage and fourth in rebounding at 8.8 per contest. He finished the season with a career-high 512 points to become the 16th player in school history to score 500 or more in a single season.

During his last home game, the 75-52 victory over Trinity, Black became just the fourth player in conference history to record 1,500 or more career points and 700 or more career rebounds. With 31 points at Southwestern University on Feb. 21, Black became the fifth player in program history and just the ninth in the SCAC to reach the 1,600-point mark. He ended his career with 1,625.

Black is the first Colorado College men's basketball student-athlete to earn NABC Coaches’ All-District honors in the SCAC era and just the fifth overall. The last CC Tiger to receive NABC All-District recognition was Michael Reich, who earned First Team honors following the 2004-05 season.
