KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Texas Lutheran Men's Basketball Associate Head Coach Austin Falke has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team.

The 30-Under-30 Team recognizes 30 of the most outstanding men's college basketball coaches under the age of 30.

Falke was hired as an assistant men's basketball coach at TLU in April 2014 after spending two seasons with former Bulldog Head Coach Jimmy Smith at Schreiner. Falke followed Smith to TLU and together the Bulldogs won Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in 2014-15 and 2015-16.

In August of 2016, Falke was promoted to associate head coach of men's basketball by new Head Coach Mike Wacker

With Wacker and Falke, the Bulldogs won their third consecutive championship, the 2016-17 SCAC title.

After advancing to the SCAC semifinal round in the 2017-18 season, the Bulldogs came back in 2018-19 to win their fourth SCAC Championship in five years and make their fourth NCAA Division III Championship appearance.

The 2019-20 season will be Falke's sixth year with the Bulldogs.

With Falke on the bench, the Bulldogs have won three Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference regular-season championships and four SCAC tournament championships.

Falke has been an assistant coach/associate head coach on four NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Championship teams (first round appearances for TLU in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019).

Falke came to Schreiner after graduating from Stephen F. Austin, where he enjoyed a three-year playing career. The Lumberjacks won back-to-back Southland Conference titles during his playing career and played in both the NCAA Tournament and the NIT.

After his playing career with SFA was over, Falke spent the 2011-12 season as a graduate assistant coach for the 'Jacks.

Falke graduated with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin in August 2010. He earned a master's degree in kinesiology from SFA in May 2012.

Falke played high school basketball for Thorndale, where he was named the 2007 Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Class A Player of the Year.

Falke is married to Rebekah Falke. The Falkes are the proud parents of a baby girl, Lily James Falke, born on July 29, 2017.
