SCAC Men's Basketball Recap - Week Eight - SCAC

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball continued to heat up with eight games this weekend.

The race for the title is getting hotter, as four teams have recorded a conference-leading three wins, while no teams remain winless early in the league schedule.

With 3-1 records in SCAC play, Schreiner University and Trinity University lead the standings. Both teams swept their games against Southwestern University and Texas Lutheran University over the weekend, including a pair of thrilling overtime games on Saturday night.

Centenary College and the University of Dallas come in third in the standings with 3-2 records. Centenary went on the road to defeat Colorado College, but fell to UD in the Crusaders only win last week. Dallas got down big at halftime to Austin College and couldn't make the comeback, falling 85-78 in the 'Roos first SCAC win of the season.

Colorado College earned its only win of the weekend on Friday evening, defeating Austin College 87-82.
