SCAC Men's Basketball Recap - Week Two

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The men's basketball teams in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference found success over the holiday break, posting an 11-6 cumulative record, with four teams picking up multiple wins.

Three teams in the league have garnered three wins already, with Colorado College and the University of Dallas leading the league at 3-1. Trinity University sits at 3-2 so far.

Dallas was the last remaining undefeated team heading into Sunday's action, but the Crusaders fell on the road to Illinois College, 90-87. Dallas is off to its best start since the 2014-15 season when the program began the season 7-0 and finished with an 18-9 record.

Trinity captured wins over Howard Payne University and Mary Hardin-Baylor this week. The Tigers faced overtime for the first time this season against the Yellow Jackets, earning a 92-90 win.

Schreiner University picked up a pair of victories last week, moving to 2-3 for the season. The Mountaineers faced a heartbreaking loss to Mary Hardin-Baylor to begin their week, falling 78-77 in the second meeting between the two teams, but they rebounded with a pair of nine-point wins over Hardin-Simmons University and McMurry University.

Texas Lutheran University sits at 2-2 on the season after picking up its first wins last week. The Bulldogs went 2-0 over the break, also defeating Hardin Simmons and McMurry.

Austin College and Colorado College each went 1-1 during the holiday, while Centenary College fell in its only contest.
