Centenary's Kirkendoll, Dallas' Levi Selected to D3Hoops.com Team of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- SCAC student-athletes composed 40 percent of this week's D3hoops.com national Team of the Week as Centenary College's Travion Kirkendoll and the University of Dallas' Spencer Levi both earned spots on the exclusive squad.

Kirkendoll moved into the top-10 in scoring in the nation with a stellar week in helping the Gents finish 3-0. Despite starting the week slow at Louisiana College, he was able to have five assists and five steals with no turnovers. He matched a career-high with 37 in Friday night's double-overtime win against Johnson & Wales-Denver, adding, seven assists. Sunday saw Kirkendoll score 32 points - the third time this season he eclipsed the 30-point mark - and add five assists and five steals as the Gents took the season sweep with an 86-69 at Hendrix.

Spencer Levi gave the home fans plenty of highlights alone the this week as the freshman shot 22-for-24 (91.7%) from the field and combined for 50 points with 25 per game as the University of Dallas men's basketball team improved to 5-1 with victories over University of the Ozarks (81-67) and Johnson & Wales-Denver (82-65). Levi registered two more double-doubles, which gives him four overall in his first six collegiate games. On Saturday, he scored 25 points, grabbed 14 rebounds for a personal-best and swatted a school record nine blocked shots. Along with his 11.2 rebounds average, Levi is shooting 81 percent from the field and ranks atop the SCAC in each of those columns.

It is the league's first D3hoops.com team of the week selection on the men's side since Feb. 14, 2017 when Kirkendoll was once again honored and it is the first time the league has had two men's recipients in the same week since Feb. 17, 2009 when Millsaps College's Chad Songy and Oglethorpe University's Todd Ward earned national TOTW honors.
