SHREVEPORT, La. - In a game that featured seven lead changes and six ties, it was fourth-seeded Centenary College that held on in the end, defeating fifth-seeded Trinity University, 57-55, in Friday's first quarterfinal game of the 2016 SCAC Men's Basketball Tournament. Official Tournament Website
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing by 2 at the half, Centenary outscored Trinity 33-29 in the second half.
- Centenary outrebounded Trinity, 48-42 and held a 21 to 12 edge on the offensive glass.
- Centenary had 18 second-chance points to Trinity's 8.
- Centenary had 18 points off Trinity turnovers while Trinity had 8.
- Centenary hit 14-of-19 attempts from the line (73.7%) while Trinity sank 9-of-14 (64.3 percent)
