
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- The Colorado
College men's basketball team reentered the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll
as the No. 25 team in the nation.
The Tigers were in conferece play this past weekend, picking up
two wins to improve to 9-2 overall and 3-0 in the Southern
Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Last Friday night, the Tigers used a 21-5 run early in the
second half to break open a defensive battle and pull away for a
68-53 victory over Austin College at Reid Arena.
Four Tigers, including starting guards Justin
Berardino and Ryan Milne who led the way with 13 points
apiece, scored in double digits to pace a balanced
offense.
On Sunday, in what was expected to be a showcase for two of
the most explosive offensive players in the Southern Collegiate
Athletic Conference, junior forward Chris
Lesnansky and Colorado College's supporting cast
proved to be the difference in a 79-71 home-court victory over
Centenary.
Colorado College hits the road for a mini three game road
trip, beginning this weekend with its first-ever league games at
Schreiner University and Texas Lutheran University on Friday and
Saturday. The Tigers and Mountaineers currently sit alone in the
SCAC Standings at 3-0, respectively.
