KANE STROHMAN OF MCMURRY UNIVERSITY, a senior defensive lineman from Katy, Texas, has been named the SCAC Football Defensive Player of the Week for games played Saturday, September 28. SCAC Football Release (Week 4)

Strohman had eight total tackles, including 3.5 tackles for loss and one sack as the War Hawks for a defense that kept the home team out of the endzone in Saturday's 34-9 victory at Austin College.

For the season, Strohman currently leads the SCAC in tackles (32), tackles for loss (8.5) and sacks (4.5).

Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior defensive lineman DJ Lewis of Texas Lutheran was a key member of the Bulldogs defense on Saturday, collecting his first career interception in TLU's 49-0 shutout win over Lyon. First-year defensive back Jacob Wilson of Centenary had a team-leading nine total tackles in the Gents' 47-8 loss at ETBU on Saturday night. Wilson had two solo stops and seven assisted tackles as he also had a half sack, 0.5 tackles for loss, and a pass breakup.
