LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – All four SCAC football programs were back in action for week eight of the season.
Austin College improved to 4-3 after a fake field goal in overtime kept the 'Roos drive alive before senior running back Madison Ross punched in the final blow to defeat Lyon 28-21.
Trinity University (6-1) defeated Southwestern University (2-5) in a designated non-conference game with a final score of 26-21.
25th-ranked Texas Lutheran University (5-2) was handed their second loss of the season by 3rd-ranked Mary Hardin-Baylor with a final score of 48-20.
SCAC conference play begins next week with TLU taking on Trinity and Austin College battling Southwestern.
